We are currently seeking an **SSOMA Supervisor** for a major mining project located in the Antofagasta region. **Terms:** * Shift: 4x3 * Site: MEL Project * Contract Type: Fixed-term, renewable fixed-term, and subsequently indefinite **Objective:** Responsible for leading and ensuring the correct implementation, compliance, and continuous improvement of the Safety, Occupational Health, Environment, and Quality (SSOMA) management system across assigned projects. The primary objective is to guarantee that operations are conducted under the highest safety standards, complying with applicable legal regulations as well as client and organizational requirements, thereby preventing incidents that could jeopardize operational continuity, personnel integrity, or contractual compliance. **Responsibilities:** * Implement, monitor, and verify application of the contract’s SSOMA Work Plan, identifying compliance gaps and managing preventive and corrective actions to ensure proper preventive management execution. * Administer and track activities on Minera Escondida platforms (FLEX, FLP, and LMS), monitoring overdue actions, compliance KPIs, and ensuring timely and effective closure of committed actions. * Plan, coordinate, and supervise on-site implementation of the SSOMA management system, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures, as well as applicable external regulations. * Coordinate internal and external audits, leading corrective action plans in response to deviations identified by the client, regulatory authorities, or the corporate department. * Ensure ongoing training and education for the SSOMA team and workers on preventive matters and emergency response. * Maintain fluid and effective communication with the client on SSOMA-related topics, representing the company during visits, inspections, and technical meetings. * Supervise and support SSOMA leaders in executing their duties, promoting a safety and self-care culture throughout all project phases. * Manage technical and legal documentation for the area (legal matrix, records, permits, procedures, etc.), ensuring traceability and regulatory compliance. * Collaborate with Quality and Operations departments to ensure effective integration of SSOMA standards into construction and operational processes. **Requirements:** * Risk Prevention Engineer. * Minimum 2 years’ experience in Risk Prevention at Minera Escondida. * Residency in Antofagasta (Mandatory) * Proficient computer user (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) / EMS platform / FLEX If you are seeking an exciting challenge and possess the skills and experience we require, we invite you to apply.
