Fire Protection Systems Specialist **Location:** Antofagasta, Antofagasta Region, Chile **Company:** Gurkan Yangin SpA Job Description The **Fire Protection Systems Specialist** will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and supervision of fire detection and suppression systems in industrial and mining environments, ensuring operational safety and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities * **Fire protection system installation**: Implementing fire detection and suppression equipment at mining sites and industrial plants. * **Preventive and corrective maintenance**: Ensuring proper operation of installed systems. * **Technical inspections**: Conducting periodic reviews and operational tests. * **Safety training**: Training personnel on equipment usage and emergency protocols. * **Regulatory compliance**: Ensuring systems meet national and international standards. * **Vendor management**: Coordinating external services related to equipment and spare parts. Candidate Profile * Technical degree in Industrial Safety, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. * Minimum 3 years of experience in fire protection systems, preferably in mining or heavy industry. * Knowledge of NFPA, NCh, and international safety standards. * Diagnostic, problem-solving, and on-site leadership skills. * Availability to work rotating shifts and at mining sites.
