Job Summary: We are seeking a rebar specialist to work on mobility projects, ensuring correct installation and assembly of reinforcement steel for railway slabs and structural elements. Every day, more than 80,000 colleagues worldwide lead the way toward greener, smarter mobility—connecting cities while reducing carbon emissions and replacing cars. **Main Responsibilities:** * Comply with the organization’s Internal Regulations on Order, Hygiene, and Safety. * Correctly use mandatory PPE and adhere to all established safety regulations. * Comply with the Integrated Management System Policy and applicable Occupational Health and Safety legislation. * Immediately report any unsafe condition or action that could pose risks to personnel, equipment, or operations. * Manage steel and material waste according to the project’s environmental procedures. * Interpret drawings, sketches, and structural details, identifying dimensions, concrete cover, diameters, positions, cuts, bends, and tolerances. * Apply basic metrology to measure, mark, layout, and verify lengths, spacings, levels, plumb lines, and reinforcement axes. * Sort, select, and prepare steel bars according to diameter, type, length, and application. * Cut and bend steel using hand tools, electric tools, or bending machines, respecting specified curves and angles. * Assemble meshes, grids, cages, stirrups, and structural reinforcements per project drawings. * Position steel on base slabs or formwork, respecting concrete cover, spacers, leveling, and structural continuity. * Install specific reinforcement for railway slabs, including grids, meshes, linear reinforcements, inserts, anchors, transfer bars, and dowels. * Verify correct placement of ducts, boxes, recesses, drains, and embedded fixtures to coordinate with reinforcement. * Secure steel reinforcement using wire, clips, or other fasteners to ensure rigidity and prevent displacement before and during concrete pouring. * Maintain reinforcement integrity during Slipform paver advancement and respect Appitrack equipment exclusion zones. * Verify final steel positioning prior to concrete pouring through visual checks and spot measurements. * Coordinate with carpenters, masons, and other crews to ensure compatibility with formwork, joints, and track components. * Support reinforcement placement in columns, walls, beams, or other structural elements when required. * Report deviations, interferences, or inconsistencies and correct them per foreman instructions. * Assist in manual loading, unloading, and transport of steel bars, respecting legal handling limits. * Collaborate with crews in complementary site activities. * Ensure no tools, materials, or parts remain inside the track area at the end of each shift. **Requirements:** * Minimum 2 years’ experience in structural slab rebar work, civil construction projects, or related tasks—preferably in railway or tunnel projects—performing cutting, bending, assembling, and installing reinforcement steel per drawings. * Completed secondary education (preferred) * Basic knowledge of concrete placement, finishes, formwork, and rebar work. * Familiarity with handling steel bars, meshes, stirrups, and embedded components. * Knowledge of working alongside mobile equipment such as concrete mixer trucks and mobile pavers.
