The Field Technician | Thermal is responsible for executing assigned organizational projects while ensuring quality and productivity—both in the installation and in the preventive and corrective maintenance of all required equipment and services. Leveraging their level of experience and technical knowledge, they provide support for any incident or requirement related to their area of responsibility. They respond to the technical needs of assigned customers, ensuring correct execution either at the installed base or at customer sites undergoing implementation, while safeguarding customer satisfaction. Their top priorities are always personal safety, proper use of PPE, and attentive, high-quality customer service.
The Field Technician works closely and in alignment with departmental roles and supporting areas to ensure that departmental goals, strategies, and objectives are achieved. They adapt easily to change and understand organizational culture.
**Responsibilities:**
* Perform technical tasks assigned by the company according to customer requirements;
* Meet general customer needs regarding installation, maintenance, and engineering;
* Arrive at the designated location, time, and date with required tools to provide technical support to the assigned customer;
* Improve equipment availability through execution of required maintenance activities;
* Conduct ongoing preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment;
* Install equipment, networks, and/or spare parts;
* Meet response and repair times as stipulated in Service Level Agreements (SLAs);
* Minimize system and/or equipment downtime for the customer and avoid contractually defined penalties or fines;
* Support and advise on technical processes related to product installation and maintenance (e.g., equipment);
* Respond promptly to customer requests to enable appropriate operational decisions;
* Ensure adherence to scheduled arrival times for planned activities and response times for assigned tasks;
* Report any unsafe working conditions and fully comply with the company’s safety procedures;
* Use all assigned PPE for each maneuver or activity to be performed;
* Care for and maintain assigned PPE in proper condition.
**Qualifications:**
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in equipment maintenance—electrical, electronic, mechanical, or precision air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
* **Preferred Qualifications:**
+ 5–7 years’ experience in equipment maintenance—electrical, electronic, mechanical, or precision air conditioning and refrigeration systems (depending on specific requirements). Additional desirable expertise includes installation, assembly, and maintenance of mechanical, electrical, or electronic equipment; industrial standards; work at heights; and environmental management plans.
**EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS**
* Education in fields such as Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related disciplines. Technical certifications in the relevant discipline are preferred. Professional license\-required for fieldwork.
