Systems Engineer – Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Santiago, Chile | Regional support for Chile, Peru, and Uruguay **Grupo PS** is looking for a **Systems Engineer specialized in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)** to join a major regional retail operation. The selected candidate will be responsible for **administering, monitoring, and optimizing the OCI-based technology platform**, ensuring **high availability, security, and operational continuity** of critical systems such as Retail ERP, POS, integrations, BI, and databases. Key Responsibilities Infrastructure Administration in **Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)** * Management of Compute Instances (Linux and Windows) * Administration of virtual networks (VCN, Subnets, Security Lists, NSG) * Storage management (Block Volumes, Object Storage) * Load Balancer configuration * Management of production and non-production environments * Backup administration and recovery policies Database Administration * Administration of **Oracle Database 19c or later** * Basic/intermediate administration of **SQL Server** * Management of **Data Guard, RMAN, and backup strategies** * Performance monitoring and capacity planning Security and Governance * Management of **OCI IAM** * Hardening of Linux and Windows servers * Vulnerability management and security best practices * Support for internal and external audits Operational Continuity * Design and maintenance of **BIA / DRP** * Execution of **Disaster Recovery** tests * Documentation of architecture and procedures Monitoring and Support * Administration of monitoring tools * Second- and third-level support * Management of critical incidents under a **24x7** model * Root cause analysis (RCA) Automation and Continuous Improvement * Automation using **Bash, PowerShell, or Python** * Use of **Terraform (desirable)** * Optimization of performance, architecture, and costs in OCI Technical Requirements **Mandatory** * Minimum **5 years of experience in infrastructure and technology platform administration** * At least **3 years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)** * Administration of **Enterprise Linux (Oracle Linux / RedHat)** * Administration of **Oracle Database 19c** * Knowledge of **Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, VPN, Firewalls)** * Experience in **high availability and Disaster Recovery** * **Intermediate English** (technical reading and regional meetings) **Desirable** * Experience in **retail (Oracle Retail RMS, Xstore, etc.)** * Knowledge of **SQL Server** * Experience with **Terraform / Infrastructure as Code** * Experience in **multi-country environments** * Integrations with **ODI, Pentaho, or REST APIs** **Education** * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related field * **OCI certification** (desirable) * **Oracle Database certification** (valuable) **Are you interested in this challenge?** Send your CV to **seleccion@grupops.cl**, indicating in the subject line: **“Systems Engineer OCI”** Employment type: Full-time Work location: On-site
