Responsible for providing technical leadership in preparing and reviewing mechanical deliverables, ensuring proposed solutions are safe, operable, maintainable, constructible, and aligned with client requirements, quality, schedule, and budget. Leadership capability to manage small project teams or working groups. **Responsibilities** * Lead mechanical engineering development for complex systems and equipment in mining and lithium projects, ensuring application of sound technical criteria, corporate standards, and client requirements across all project phases. * Provide technical leadership in developing mechanical engineering packages and make engineering decisions within your scope of responsibility, ensuring achievement of project technical objectives. * Develop discipline-specific mechanical documents, such as calculation memos, design criteria, technical specifications, data sheets, lists, etc. * Develop technical requisitions and evaluate bids for mechanical equipment in mining and lithium projects. * Review and manage supplier technical information, participating in technical evaluation, inspection, testing, and validation of mechanical equipment per project requirements. * Maintain a focus on technical integrity and safety in design, applied to all projects in which you participate. * Technically review and approve mechanical engineering deliverables (drawings and documents), verifying compliance with codes, specifications, design criteria, safety, constructability, and maintainability. * Coordinate preparation of schematics, general arrangements, and drawings based on instructions and calculation memos, with full mastery of applicable design codes and procedures. * Monitor and manage progress of your activities and those of resources under your coordination, promptly identifying deviations that may affect project performance indicators (PF and SPI) and initiating corrective actions when required. * Participate in preparation of technical proposals, man-hour estimates, and definition of engineering scopes for studies and projects. * Identify, assess, and communicate technical risks, scope deviations, and potential impacts on cost, schedule, or quality, proposing timely mitigation measures. * Coordinate technical interfaces with Process, Piping, Civil, Structural, Electrical, and Instrumentation disciplines. * Review and validate material lists, quantities, and take-offs associated with the mechanical discipline. * Coordinate and provide technical guidance to designers and professionals within the mechanical discipline. * Coordinate quality assurance, resolution of outstanding items, and modifications to already-issued drawings. * Focus your work on delivering solutions and completing assigned tasks. * Participate in site visits to conduct technical data surveys at our clients’ operations.
