We are looking for a professional with the right experience for the **Mechanic Supervisor** position at our MMO located in the city of **Nacimiento.** **Description of key responsibilities for this position:** * Lead the execution of all maintenance activities (scheduled, corrective, and emergency). * Provide technical guidance to the execution team, ensuring safety, quality of execution, and efficient resource management. * Apply appropriate knowledge, experience, and tools to manage the maintenance team with emphasis on adherence to the activity schedule. * Support the Planning department in developing work order scheduling, preventive maintenance plans, and sector-wide and general shutdown planning. * Support the Reliability department in studies and analyses aimed at mitigating failure risks and ensuring asset availability. * Ensure achievement of performance goals and indicators (health, safety, maintenance availability, and financial). * Develop and implement effective corrective actions when failures occur, identify root causes, and prevent recurrence. * Interact with various maintenance areas and customers. * Support future maintenance strategy definitions and improvements to equipment and facilities, spare parts procurement, repairs, and service contracting—all directed toward operational availability. * Contribute to defining and prioritizing required training for the maintenance team, aiming to enhance and update technical knowledge of our products. * Prepare reports. * Ensure achievement of performance objectives and indicators—with focus on Safety and Maintenance Availability. * Participate in periodic meetings with the team and customers to guarantee performance. * Maintain and promote engagement of all personnel with the service and development of Valmet’s Maintenance Management Organization (MMO) contract model. * Encourage team participation in seminars, conferences, and internal and external training sessions to foster professional and personal development through technical improvement and updating. * Comply with company-established safety, hygiene, disciplinary, and other regulations, following established guidelines and instructions from immediate supervisors, clarifying any doubts in this regard, with the objective of complying with current regulations and setting an example of conduct for other employees. **Required qualifications for performing these activities:** • Higher technical education in industrial maintenance (e.g., senior mechanical technician) or related field. • Minimum of 4 years’ experience leading industrial maintenance activities in continuous-process industries (e.g., paper, pulp, oil & gas) or similar.
