We are seeking a professional with the appropriate experience for the **Mechanic** position at our MMO located in the city of **Nacimiento.** **Key Responsibilities for this Position:** * Execute service requests to ensure continued operational functionality of mechanical equipment, following guidance and predefined procedures from the immediate supervisor, using tools and devices to identify and/or repair identified defects or failures. * Interpret mechanical drawings that define the operation and/or functionality of a system or equipment. * Operate mechanical handling and adjustment tools. * Operate dimensional measurement equipment for precise adjustments. * Perform alignment on equipment. * Perform equipment lubrication via oil replenishment or oil changes. * Conduct inspection routes on static and rotating mechanical equipment. * Dismantle and assemble machines and mechanical equipment. * Perform maintenance (diagnostics and repairs) on mechanical equipment and hydraulic systems. * Diagnose failures and perform repairs. * Conduct parts and spare parts studies. * Support the planning and maintenance scheduling department with information. * Assist in identifying root causes and support the development of solutions. * Maintain work tools (cleaning, lubrication, testing, and storage) to ensure service quality. * Carry out activities in an organized and effective manner, contributing to the proper use, conservation, and cleaning of equipment and facilities within the area of operation. * Comply with safety, hygiene, disciplinary, and other requirements established by the Company, following the established Regulations and Guidelines from the immediate supervisor, clarifying any questions regarding them, in order to implement current regulations and serve as a behavioral example for other employees in the operational area. * Understand Valmet’s mission, values, policies, and objectives, adhering to established standards, instructions, and procedures as guarantees of quality, occupational safety, environmental protection, and preventive medicine—contributing to appreciation, optimization, digitalization processes, sustainable development, and improved service to internal and external customers. * Know and apply Valmet’s quality management system procedures, instructions, and standards, aiming to practice them daily to ensure service quality. * Perform other professional activities related to and inherent in the position, as directed and requested by the immediate supervisor. **Required Qualifications for Performing These Activities:** * Preferred: Secondary-level Mechanical Technician qualification or related field. * Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial mechanical maintenance for continuous processes (paper, pulp, oil & gas) or similar activities.
