Diego Portales University is seeking an Advanced Systems Manager to work at the Institute of Astrophysical Studies within the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences. **Position Mission:** Coordinate and ensure the operational continuity of the technological systems and resources of the Institute of Astrophysical Studies and the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences, through the administration of servers, backups, and equipment, as well as providing specialized support to researchers and students, ensuring the implementation of efficient technological solutions, management of accounts and access, and optimization of processes aligned with UDP's institutional policies. **Main Responsibilities:** Ensure software-level operation of computing equipment. Provide technical support to academic, administrative staff, and students. Perform other duties inherent to the position. **Working Conditions:** This position requires on-site work in offices located in downtown Santiago. Given the nature of the responsibilities, activities will be carried out both in physical facilities such as server rooms and computing laboratories, as well as on-site support tasks within the premises of the Institute of Astrophysical Studies and the Faculty of Engineering and Sciences. Requirements **MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:** Professional and specialized studies in information technologies or related disciplines, with a focus on server administration and system management. **MINIMUM PRIOR EXPERIENCE:** Desirable: 3 years of experience in similar roles. **SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:** Advanced knowledge in IT in general, proficiency with Linux and MacOSx operating systems, particularly regarding Unix compatibility, Windows, and server administration with virtual machines, management of technological resources. Implementation of computing solutions for research and academia. Skills in project management, advisory, and implementation of IT solutions.
