Kinross’ La Coipa mine is located in the Atacama Region in northern Chile, approximately 1,000 kilometers north of Santiago and 140 kilometers northeast of Copiapó. La Coipa poured its first gold bar in March 2022 after resuming operations following suspension in 2013. Kinross is conducting an exploration program to potentially extend the mine’s life.

Position Description
Ensure compliance with preventive and corrective equipment maintenance activities within the assigned shift, guaranteeing appropriate planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement of processes under responsibility, in accordance with MDO and Kinross policies, standards, and procedures.
Position Responsibilities
Analyze resources, validate maintenance plans (weekly/annual), define emerging priorities with Operations, and coordinate daily scheduling while ensuring personnel competency.
Supervise fieldwork quality, monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), audit the Critical Spares Program, and control budget adherence.
Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental policies; lead achievement of objectives; and facilitate employee development in a positive work environment.
Education and Experience
Professional degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial Engineering (Execution Level), or a Higher Technical Diploma with 20 years of experience in mining equipment management.
Five years of experience in similar roles in Mine Maintenance.
Proven experience leading high-performance teams.
General and mechanical knowledge of mining equipment (e.g., trucks, loaders, bulldozers, motor graders, etc.).
Proficiency in the JDE Maintenance Module.
User-level proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Valid Class B driver’s license.
Basic English Level 2.
