Through internal selection processes, we aim to identify top candidates for promotion to other positions, aligning company requirements with employee motivations.*** **ARAUCO** is seeking a candidate with a Higher Technical Degree; Specialty: *Mechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or Electromechanics*, with at least two years of work experience in industrial plants and/or maintenance, to perform the role of Operator/Maintainer at our Valdivia Wood Complex, located in the commune of San Jose de la Mariquina. The general objective of this position is to support operational tasks according to assigned operational activities and responsibilities, while maintaining and ensuring continuity of the production line, complying with safety, quality, performance, productivity, and technical standards for machinery on-site. Activities and contingencies will be conducted under the direction of the Operations Supervision team. Compliance with Arauco’s Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies and regulations must always be ensured. **Main Responsibilities:** * + Collaborate to ensure machine safety conditions are met prior to shift start-up, performing associated tasks and functions to achieve this objective, in accordance with safety protocols and environmental considerations, taking into account the daily production schedule. + Perform operational tasks on the machine, such as feeding, evacuating, assembling batches at the output, etc. When authorized, perform adjustments including dimensional changes and machine parameter regulation. Conduct operational control tasks, such as checking pressure and lubrication levels of machines, monitoring quality parameters of outgoing products (blank length \- moldings, joint quality, adhesive application, etc.). + Perform cleaning and operational maintenance tasks, as assigned per area and position. + Sort wood to maintain and ensure certified product quality, performing duties while adhering to quality, safety, and environmental standards. + Support the machine operator to ensure continuous operation of the equipment, while complying with quality, safety, and environmental standards. + Verify machine functionality to reduce potential failure risks. + Maintain order and cleanliness of the workplace at all times. + Perform corrective maintenance activities on machines, implementing Continuous Improvement while complying with safety protocols and applicable regulations, considering the daily production schedule. + Comply with Quality, Safety, Occupational Health, and Environmental process standards and procedures, in accordance with current legal regulations. **Requirements:** * Holder of a Higher Technical Degree; Specialty: *Mechanics, Electromechanics, Industrial Maintenance* * Proficient in basic Excel. * Minimum two years of experience in industrial plants and/or maintenance processes. * Availability for rotating shift systems. * Willingness to work in the San Jose de la Mariquina area. ***At ARAUCO, we work every day to develop renewable forest-based products that improve people’s lives—a mission that challenges us to build committed, enthusiastic, and creative teams.
