Finning, Caterpillar’s strategic partner and leader in equipment and service distribution, is seeking top talent to fill the role of **Senior (Advanced) Technician**. **Job Description Summary:** Responsible for **evaluating and supervising various processes related to equipment and/or component maintenance**, as well as **providing timely information and necessary resources to fulfill established programs**, ensuring proper administration of assigned resources according to existing policies and achieving unit objectives. **Main Job Responsibilities:** * Supervise and ensure compliance in each planned maintenance, repair, and/or evaluation process. * Diagnose, evaluate, and generate work orders using Caterpillar’s technical and administrative software. * Analyze written materials such as service manuals, parts catalogs, and mechanical and maintenance forms. * Experience using and handling electronic tools. * Prepare Service Reports. * Perform repairs across the general product line and provide repair recommendations. * Demonstrate and teach fault analysis skills. * Conduct field and workshop tests, adjustments, and fault localization. * Train unit personnel. * Does not require direct supervision to perform work. * Supervise and actively participate in activities related to Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) management. (Ref. standard *PRO.HS.01\.02 Responsibility for Risk Prevention and Environmental Management*), to ensure compliance with the Risk Prevention and Sustainable Management Policy within the area under their responsibility. * In the absence of the Workshop, Field, or PM Supervisor, assumes assigned duties per the Operations Manager’s instructions. **Requirements:** * Professional Technician graduated from an Institute or University, specializing in automotive mechanics, electronics, or electricity. * Minimum **5 years’ experience in mining-sector equipment maintenance**. * Successfully performed the duties of **Technician A**. * Work on a rotating 7x7 shift system, day and night. * Possess health compatible with performance at high geographic altitudes. **If you are currently employed by the company, please also note the internal application requirements for this role:** * Minimum **1 year of tenure** in current position. * Performance evaluation score of **“Meets Expectations” or higher (minimum score of 3)**. * Minimum application level: **T2 / 3A**. * Meet the above-specified **education and experience requirements**.
