It is globally recognized as the foremost authority on quality and integrity, with over 95,000 employees and a network of more than 2,400 offices and laboratories worldwide. **Job Description** **SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES** * Apply approved analytical methodology * Rotating 7x7 day-and-night shift * Ensure analytical results fall within expected ranges for accuracy, precision, etc. * Responsible for compliance with quality assurance requirements * Responsible for compliance with risk and environmental management requirements, integrating them into daily work routines * Responsible for maintaining and using standards within established timeframes * Responsible for operation and maintenance of EAA, LECO, AUTOMATIC TITRATORS, and DILUTORS * Ensure correct execution of assigned analytical methods or determinations, including performing verification calculations, safeguarding assigned results and materials, and recording data within established timeframes * Procure, ensure availability of, or prepare necessary materials, equipment, and/or accessories required for laboratory analyses, handling chemical reagents and controlling their quality prior to use * Report deviations and/or take action to resolve contingencies affecting personal tasks or those of the assigned work team * Conduct tests with quality, safety, and environmental care, meeting workload deadlines * Ensure and comply with all activities related to sample handling, preparation of reagents and standards, and result integrity per current procedures * Participate in problem resolution—from contributing to fact investigation to suggesting solutions and preventing recurrence of failures * Protect the integrity of assigned test items by ensuring traceability and clear, orderly, and complete documentation of activities in designated records * Uphold all established hygiene and safety measures, properly using assigned PPE and work clothing, prioritizing self-care and peer care, identifying and reporting risks and hazards * Validate and/or report analysis results upon request from supervisor or direct manager * Strictly adhere to laboratory safety regulations, emphasizing proper handling of glassware, hazardous substances, and correct storage and disposal of biohazardous waste (RILES) **Requirements** * Formal Education: Chemical Engineer, Bachelor of Chemistry, Chemistry Laboratory Technician, or Chemical Analyst * Experience: Minimum 3 years overall, including at least 2 years in mineral laboratories and hydrometallurgical plants * Minimum Required Competencies: Proficiency in Good Laboratory Practices, knowledge of Quality Standards, and experience with mineral analysis techniques or methodologies * Experience in Atomic Absorption, LECO, AUTOMATIC TITRATOR, and DILUTORS **(Mandatory)** * Preferred residence: Calama, Antofagasta, Arica, or Iquique **Additional Information** **WE OFFER** * Professional Development Plan and continuous training * Accommodation during work shifts * Birth and Christmas gifts for employees’ children * Life insurance effective from date of joining the organization * Supplementary health insurance (Metlife) * Benefits through Caja Los Andes and associated agreements
