Finning, a strategic partner of CATERPILLAR and a leader in equipment distribution and services, is searching for top talent to fulfill the role of **A Technician.** **Job Description Summary:** Will be responsible for diagnosing major components and systems, performing large-scale repairs, and coordinating work execution. Works in workshops or on-site as required. Assists the supervisor and may make mid-level responsibility decisions. May supervise component installation and removal. May substitute for the Supervisor in specific functions or tasks, or in field operations. **Main Job Responsibilities:** * Diagnoses, evaluates, and generates work orders using Caterpillar's technical and administrative software. * Analyzes written materials such as service manuals, parts catalogs, and mechanical and maintenance forms. * Prepares Service Reports. * Performs repairs across the general product line and provides repair recommendations. * Conducts tests, adjustments, and fault diagnostics both on-site and in the workshop **Requirements:*** Graduate technician from an Institute or University, specializing in automotive mechanics, electronics, or electricity. * Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance of mining industry equipment. * Must work on a rotating 7x7 shift system (day and night). * Must possess health compatible with performance at high geographic altitudes.
