Build high-performance, fault-tolerant microservices for complex solutions Job Overview Matt Zatko Software is seeking a visionary and technical **Principal Backend Developer** (Desarrollador Backend Principal) to lead the architectural design, development, and scaling of our core enterprise software systems. In this high\-impact role, you will define backend engineering standards, mentor development teams, and build high\-performance, fault\-tolerant microservices that power complex software solutions. Key Responsibilities * Define the technical architecture, design patterns, and long\-term strategy for backend services and API ecosystems. * Write clean, maintainable, and highly efficient code for complex backend microservices and core infrastructure. * Optimize system performance, database queries, and system throughput to handle high\-concurrency traffic and scalable data loads. * Lead code reviews, establish engineering best practices, and mentor senior and mid\-level software engineers. * Collaborate with Product Managers, Frontend Engineers, and DevOps teams to align technical roadmap with business objectives. * Evaluate and integrate emerging backend technologies, frameworks, and cloud\-native solutions to ensure systems remain modern and secure. Requirements \& Qualifications * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. * 7\+ years of experience in backend software development, with at least 2\+ years in a Principal, Lead, or Staff Engineer role. * Mastery of modern backend languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Node.js, or C\#/.NET Core). * Expertise in distributed systems architecture, microservices, RESTful/GraphQL APIs, and database design (SQL and NoSQL). * Deep understanding of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines. * Demonstrated track record of scaling high\-concurrency applications and managing complex system refactoring. * Professional fluency in Spanish and English (both written and verbal) is required.
