Reporting to the Superintendent of Major Maintenance, the Major Maintenance Planner (PMO) will be responsible for centralizing and consolidating major maintenance planning, integrating the work of multiple planners and disciplines, developing robust master schedules (Gantt charts), and controlling the correct sequence, criticality, and synchronization of all shutdown activities. This role will be pivotal in leading the integration, standardization, and scheduling of major maintenance activities (shutdowns), ensuring consolidated, consistent, and executable planning globally across our full value chain: Mine, Concentrator, TMF, Pipeline, and Port. Work location is the Integrated Operations Center at our Santiago offices, on a 5x2 shift schedule, with frequent travel to the Quebrada Blanca site. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Be a courageous safety leader, comply with and champion safety and environmental rules, regulations, critical controls, and procedures. * Build and maintain the master shutdown schedule (leveled and detailed Gantt chart). * Integrate and consolidate the work of various major maintenance planners. * Define optimal work sequences, identifying critical path, float, and constraints. * Ensure proper logical interdependencies between activities. * Validate consistency among scope, resources, durations, and execution sequence. * Standardize planning, scheduling, and control criteria across teams. * Identify scheduling risks, interferences, and bottlenecks, proposing mitigation measures. * Coordinate with planning, execution, reliability, and operations to ensure plan consistency. * Generate progress reports, critical milestone tracking, and deviation analysis during execution. * Lead schedule freeze processes and change control through formal change and scope break processes. * Integrate a 360° perspective with internal customers and support areas, generating integrated plans with operational, executing, and logistics teams. **Requirements** -------------- * Professional degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent. * Minimum 8 years of experience in mining, specifically in maintenance planning and scheduling. * 5 years of specific experience with key processes and equipment in Concentrator Plants. * Advanced proficiency in scheduling tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar). * Advanced expertise in major maintenance (shutdown) scheduling. * Advanced proficiency in developing complex Gantt charts and integrated master schedules. * Experience in Critical Path Method (CPM) management and scheduling risk analysis. * Experience integrating multidisciplinary plans into a single program. * Availability to work in Santiago on a 5x2 shift schedule with frequent travel to the Quebrada Blanca site. **About Teck** At Teck, we value diversity.
