Teck holds an indirect 60% interest in the mine. Reporting to the Plant Maintenance Supervisor, the **Plant Mechanical Technician – Dry Area** will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance activities on primary crushing, grinding, and pebbles crushing equipment, ensuring their operability and contributing to the continuity and efficiency of the mineral concentration process, applying high standards of safety and operational discipline through collaborative and integrated work within the maintenance and operations areas, in accordance with legal safety, health, and environmental regulations. This position will be based at the Quebrada Blanca site, located in the Tarapacá Region at 4\.400 meters above sea level, operating on a 7x7 day-and-night shift schedule. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Be a courageous safety leader, comply with and champion safety and environmental rules, regulations, critical controls, and procedures. * Support the development of preventive maintenance procedures to optimize equipment reliability and availability. * Execute scheduled maintenance plans (daily, weekly, PM, shutdown) and carry out actions for unscheduled maintenance per instructions from the Concentrator Plant Maintenance Supervisor. * Report risk conditions in work areas and propose improvements. * Respect and adhere to QB Standards, Procedures, and Work Instructions. * Ensure proper use and care of tools and equipment. * Complete training plan as required by the company. **Requirements** -------------- * Higher Technical or University Degree in Mechanical or Hydraulic Engineering. * Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance of mining concentrator plants or continuous process industries. * Demonstrable experience with primary and secondary (pebbles) crushers, conveyor belts, ball and SAG mills, centrifugal pumps, classification systems (hydrocyclones). * Valid Class B driver’s license. * Class D driver’s license preferred. **About Teck** At Teck, we value diversity.
