Job Description
We are seeking a **Senior Process Control and Leaching Specialist** to optimize and control hydrometallurgical processes, ensuring operational stability, metallurgical recovery, resource efficiency, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor and optimize **leaching, solvent extraction (SX), and electrowinning (EW)** processes.
* Analyze process variables, recovery rates, reagent consumption, and operational efficiency.
* Identify deviations and propose corrective actions to improve stability and performance.
* Develop mass, water, and metallurgical balances.
* Analyze process trends and data using control and management tools.
* Coordinate metallurgical testing and evaluate new operational alternatives.
* Prepare technical reports and performance indicators.
* Collaborate closely with Operations, Metallurgy, Maintenance, Laboratory, and Environmental teams.
* Support the implementation of **advanced process control and automation systems**.
* Ensure compliance with procedures, safety standards, and applicable environmental regulations.
Requirements
* Degree in **Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Mining Engineering**, or a related field.
* Proven experience in **leaching, SX\-EW, and process control**.
* Solid knowledge of metallurgical balances and operational variables.
* Advanced proficiency in **Excel**; familiarity with **Power BI, PI System/AVEVA PI**, or other analytical tools is desirable.
* Experience with **DCS, PLC, SCADA, and advanced process control (APC)** systems is desirable.
* Knowledge of process chemistry, reagents, and metallurgical analysis.
* Experience in process optimization and statistical analysis is desirable.
* Familiarity with **safety and environmental standards applicable to mining in Chile**.
* Availability to work on-site under a shift-based system.
* Strong analytical ability, technical leadership, results orientation, and commitment to continuous improvement.
Salary: $2\.800\.000 per month
