We consider inclusion and diversity as fundamental to meeting present and future challenges******.*** Apply now and become part of the **Forest Road Construction Project**, for which we are seeking high school graduates or individuals holding a Medium-Level Technical degree with experience as a Chainsaw Operator, to participate and perform duties in civil works operations as a **Civil Engineering Assistant/Chainsaw Operator**, in the **Arauco** zone. **Position Objective:** Execute construction of civil engineering works and maintenance of forest roads, including sanitation works such as culverts—across all stages—in compliance with technical standards defined by the unit. This includes verifying the work plan on-site and making necessary adjustments, ensuring adherence to established operational, safety, and environmental procedures. **Specific Responsibilities:** * Perform tree felling and bucking according to project requirements. * Cut pipes using a chainsaw. * Assist in unloading pipes. * Carry out activities related to culvert construction in accordance with established work procedures, as well as operational, safety, and environmental regulations. * Collect raw materials within the site, such as wooden poles, for construction purposes. * Perform maintenance activities including clearing, brush-cutting, cleaning of culverts, replacement of civil engineering works (e.g., geogrid), and installation of signage and log barriers. * Operate pickup trucks and trucks—with or without trailer transport—as required and subject to valid driver’s license availability. * Conduct routine maintenance of personal work tools. **Application Requirements:** * Completion of high school education or possession of a Medium-Level Technical degree (mandatory) * Minimum 1 year of chainsaw operation experience (in forestry operations and/or firefighting brigades) (mandatory) * Valid Class B driver’s license (mandatory), Class A4 (desirable) * 10x5 shift schedule * Fixed-term contract subject to performance ***At ARAUCO, we work daily to develop renewable forest products that improve people’s lives—a mission that challenges us to build committed, enthusiastic, and creative teams.
