We consider inclusion and diversity fundamental to meeting present and future challenges.*** **ARAUCO is seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Technician for the Causticizing and Lime Kiln area.** The purpose of this position is to execute mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring operational continuity, reliability, and safety of the area’s production processes, thereby contributing to minimizing unplanned shutdowns and optimizing the availability of critical equipment. Main Responsibilities * Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to guidelines and technical specifications. * Diagnose failures and propose timely technical solutions. * Conduct routine inspections and identify substandard conditions. * Support predictive maintenance activities (e.g., inspection routes, vibration analysis, among others). * Ensure compliance with safe work procedures and current regulations. * Record activities in maintenance management systems (SAP). * Collaborate with Operations to continuously improve equipment performance. * Propose technical improvements based on failure analysis and criticality assessments. * Maintain order and proper conditions in the work area, safeguarding equipment availability. Requirements **Education:** * Technical or Engineering degree in Industrial Mechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or related field. **Experience:** * Minimum 3 years’ experience in industrial plants (pulp, mining, or other industries). **Knowledge:** * Pulp production process (desirable). * Maintenance of rotating equipment, alignment, assembly, and disassembly. * Reading of technical drawings and failure diagnosis. * Industrial lubrication. * Basic knowledge of SAP or other maintenance management systems.
