Apply Now » Date: 2 Jun 2026 Location: Copiapó, III Region, Chile Kinross' La Coipa mine is located in the Atacama Region in northern Chile, approximately 1,000 kilometers north of Santiago and 140 kilometers northeast of Copiapó. La Coipa poured its first gold bar in March 2022 after resuming operations following suspension in 2013. Kinross is conducting an exploration program to potentially extend the mine's life. Job Description Perform preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance on the Company's equipment, facilities, and machinery, ensuring work quality, managing tools, supporting spare parts management, contributing to continuous improvement of the maintenance process, and maintaining a strong commitment to safety and the environment. Job Responsibilities * Execute various work programs related to preventive, corrective, predictive, and symptomatic maintenance of the Company's equipment, facilities, and machinery. * Identify needs for changes in work planning and scheduling, and propose them to your supervisor. * Transport equipment, resources, and/or components to the workshop for maintenance or repair, and conduct field testing prior to delivery to the respective area. * Maintain and manage workshop tools using available systems for such management. * Ensure strict compliance with company and departmental standards, procedures, and loss control. * Perform and ensure strict compliance with housekeeping requirements in your area. * Any other duties assigned by your supervisor related to this position. Education and Experience * High school diploma and/or Technical Professional – Industrial qualification with specialization in Mechanical Maintenance or equivalent. * 1–2 years of experience in maintenance of industrial plants and/or mining operations. * Knowledge of mechanical drawing interpretation, tools associated with the role, and concepts of symptomatic inspections, among others. * Knowledge of metrology and welding. * Knowledge of structure and operation of crushers, conveyors, feeders, and screens. * Class B driver's license. * Proficiency in Word and Excel.
