**Job Purpose:**
Develop and implement the Fuel Management System through Capital Projects and Maintenance Strategies to ensure compliance with technical, production, handling, quality, and fuel optimization requirements, thereby guaranteeing efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
**Main Responsibilities:**
* **Manage the Fuel Management Plan:**
Define and propose strategies for fuel supply, efficient use, and control, ensuring operational continuity and regulatory compliance.
* **Administer Capex and Opex Budgets:**
Prepare and justify investment and operational expense budgets for the assigned portfolio, aligned with the organization’s financial objectives.
* **Provide Technical Advisory Services to Maintenance and Operations:**
Plan interventions and deliver specialized technical support to ensure facility operability and reliability.
* **Supervise Compliance with the Operational Plan:**
Verify on-site execution of activities and adherence to defined standards.
* **Manage the Capital Project Portfolio:**
Lead the full lifecycle of investment projects—from planning and prioritization through monitoring and closure—ensuring progress within schedule and budget.
* **Direct Engineering Development:**
Guide the development of conceptual, basic, and detailed engineering, validating that solutions meet safety, operational, and cost-efficiency standards.
**Additional Responsibilities:**
* Manage the assigned project portfolio across its entire lifecycle.
* Organize own assigned time and work.
* Define performance indicators associated with portfolio projects.
* Plan indirect tasks related to projects (safety, internal area coordination, availability of support).
* Project management reporting. S-curve.
* Daily safety activity planning.
* Approve procedures of contractor companies.
* Manage resource utilization (payment status reports).
**Job Requirements:**
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field.
* Office Proficiency: Intermediate level.
* English: Basic level.
* Work Experience: Minimum 10 years.
* Relevant Job Experience: 3 to 6 years.
**Knowledge Requirements:**
* Project Management.
* ERP Systems.
* Current Regulations (field-specific).
* Cost Control, Basic Accounting.
* Experience managing performance indicators for management control.
* Experience working with regulatory standards.
* Experience working with quality standards.
* Experience supervising contractor company work.
* Experience managing tenders for procurement of materials and/or services.
* Experience serving as contract administrator for execution services and/or engineering services.
* People management and teamwork skills.
**Working Conditions:**
* Location: Antofagasta, on-site.
* Shift: 4x3, starting April 2026.
* Contract Type: Indefinite-term.
