Job Description **Purpose:** The Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Planning is the organization’s senior technical-functional subject matter expert across all matters related to estimation, control, governance, analysis, and assurance of planning and progress control for capital (CAPEX) projects throughout the project lifecycle per the IDM. This role is accountable for ensuring the integrity, reliability, and consistency of schedule performance at the project, program, and portfolio levels, enabling executive decision-making, reducing uncertainty, managing schedule risks, and contributing to business value creation. The role acts as technical authority, strategic advisor, and custodian of local corporate planning standards, with cross-functional influence but no direct hierarchical responsibility. **Key Responsibilities:** * Ensure systematic control of baseline vs. actual schedule, forecast, and closure projections, aligned with the corporate reporting calendar. * Analyze progress variances, identify root causes, and define preventive and corrective mitigation plans, reporting Schedule Performance Index (SPI), critical path variances, and float erosion. * Monitor and report on the critical path, sub\-critical paths, and total float of the schedule, identifying activities at risk of impacting key milestones. * Incorporate sensitivity analysis, scenario analysis, and trend analysis into performance reports, using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques. * Consolidate standalone project and portfolio information, integrating medium- and long-term perspectives (5-Year Plan – 5YP, Long-Term Asset Plan – LOAP). * Produce and maintain Schedule Performance Dashboards and Schedule Variance Reports per corporate templates. * Ensure correct configuration and use of schedule data in Oracle Primavera P6 for integration with corporate reporting systems. * Actively participate in assurance reviews (LIA) as the functional expert in planning and scheduling. * Execute Level 2 QA/QC activities within their specialty, validating compliance with corporate standards, lessons learned, and best practices.
