Job Description
Eaansa Ingeniería seeks to hire a Civil Engineering Project Director to lead the planning, execution, supervision, and closure of engineering projects, ensuring compliance with established technical, financial, contractual, and safety objectives.
The selected candidate will be responsible for coordinating multidisciplinary teams and maintaining effective communication with clients, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders. The position requires strong leadership capabilities, sound technical judgment, and extensive experience in comprehensive civil engineering project management.
The professional will play a key role in decision-making, resource management, progress monitoring, and problem resolution, contributing to efficient, safe, and regulation-compliant project execution under current Chilean legislation.
Key Responsibilities
* Direct civil engineering projects from the planning stage through delivery and closure.
* Define objectives, scope, schedules, resources, and priorities for each project.
* Coordinate engineering, construction, technical specialty, and administrative support teams.
* Supervise adherence to deadlines, budget, quality, safety, and contractual scope.
* Review and approve technical documentation, reports, specifications, and project deliverables.
* Identify technical, operational, and financial risks, developing mitigation measures.
* Manage scope changes, engineering modifications, and client requirements.
* Coordinate and supervise contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
* Maintain periodic communication with clients and stakeholders, reporting on progress, risks, and outcomes.
* Lead follow-up meetings and establish action plans to address deviations.
* Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, technical standards, and safety regulations.
* Prepare and review progress reports, performance indicators, and project forecasts.
* Participate in tender processes, technical evaluations, and planning of new projects as required.
* Promote best practices in management, quality, safety, and continuous improvement within project teams.
Requirements and Qualifications
Academic Background
* Professional degree in **Civil Engineering**, preferably with specialization in construction, structures, civil works, infrastructure, or project management.
* Additional training in **Project Management or Leadership**, contract administration, cost management, or related fields is desirable.
* Certification such as **PMP, PMI**, or equivalent project management certification is valued but not mandatory.
Professional Experience
* **8+ years of experience** in civil engineering, construction, infrastructure, or civil works projects.
* Demonstrable experience leading projects from inception to completion.
* Experience directing multidisciplinary teams and coordinating contractors.
* Experience in cost control, scheduling, risk management, and progress tracking.
* Direct experience interfacing with clients and other stakeholders.
* Experience in medium- and large-scale projects is preferred.
Technical Knowledge
* Solid knowledge of project planning and control.
* Proficiency in budgeting, costing, scheduling, and progress monitoring.
* Knowledge of contract management and change administration.
* Ability to interpret drawings, technical specifications, and engineering documentation.
* Familiarity with Chilean regulations applicable to engineering and construction projects.
* Proficiency in project planning and management tools such as **MS Project, Primavera P6, AutoCAD**, or equivalent platforms, depending on project nature.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and report-generation tools.
