Purpose of the Role Provide technical advisory and specialized support in Safety, Health, Environment, and Security (SHES) to ensure compliance with corporate, legal, and customer standards, contributing to effective risk management and continuous improvement of SHES performance at manufacturing and/or operational mine sites. Key Responsibilities Advise leaders and workers on Safety, Health, Environment, and Sustainability matters, promptly responding to inquiries related to policies, standards, procedures, and applicable legal requirements. Support the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Orica’s SHES management systems, promoting adherence to corporate standards and operational commitments. Monitor and track SHES Strategy performance indicators, supporting leaders in timely action management and achievement of established objectives. Participate in SHES assurance activities, including inspections, audits, field verifications, and compliance reviews, identifying improvement opportunities and managing corrective actions. Contribute to the development, updating, and maintenance of risk profiles, risk assessments, and control plans for operations under your responsibility. Support and monitor line leadership in fulfilling their SHES responsibilities and accountability, promoting a culture of prevention and risk management. Participate in and support investigations of incidents, accidents, and high-potential events, contributing to root cause analysis and defining corrective and preventive actions. Implement and promote initiatives aimed at risk mitigation, incident prevention, and SHES performance improvement. Ensure the quality, integrity, and availability of SHES information, guaranteeing accurate and timely reporting within established deadlines. Participate in operational and corporate projects, providing technical SHES support and contributing to the achievement of organizational strategic objectives. Promote active participation of workers and contractors in Safety, Health, Environment, and Sustainability programs, campaigns, and initiatives. Expected Outcomes Compliance with corporate, legal, and customer SHES standards. Reduction of exposure to operational and safety risks. Timely closure of actions arising from audits, inspections, and incidents. Continuous improvement of site-level SHES indicators. Strengthening of safety culture and visible leadership on-site. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Risk Prevention Engineering or Mining Engineering (completed) Sernageomin Certification A or B 5 years of experience in mining operations.
