Job Summary
**Travel Expert Agency \& Business Services Chile** SpA is seeking an ***Travel Operations Assistant*** who is organized, customer-focused, and meticulous to join our team in La Florida. As a Travel Operations Assistant, you will support the daily coordination of travel reservations, itineraries, accommodations, transportation, transfers, communication with suppliers, customer requests, and travel documentation. You will work closely with travel operations, reservations, customer service, administration, hotels, transportation providers, tour operators, and other travel partners to ensure travel arrangements are processed accurately and efficiently. This position is ideal for recent graduates and professionals with limited work experience interested in tourism, travel operations, reservations, hospitality, aviation services, customer service, or business operations. Responsibilities: Support daily travel and tourism operations. Process routine travel and reservation requests. Assist with accommodation and hotel bookings. Support flight and transportation arrangements as applicable. Coordinate airport transfers and ground transportation. Assist with tour and activity bookings. Verify accuracy and completeness of reservation information. Prepare and update customer travel itineraries. Maintain accurate passenger and reservation records. Monitor reservation confirmations and pending requests. Communicate with hotels, tour operators, and transportation providers. Assist customers with routine pre-travel inquiries. Provide approved information on schedules, reservations, and travel services. Manage reservation changes and cancellations. Assist with reservation change requests according to established procedures. Monitor supplier or schedule changes affecting customer itineraries. Notify customers of approved reservation changes. Assist in organizing corporate and group travel when required. Assist with rooming lists and passenger lists. Prepare travel vouchers, confirmations, and supporting documents. Assist with billing and payment documentation. Maintain electronic records of reservations and travel. Update CRM and travel management systems. Monitor shared travel operations inboxes and work queues. Follow up with customers and suppliers regarding pending information. Maintain operational records in Excel or Google Sheets. Collaborate on preparing basic travel and reservation reports. Escalate complex issues related to tickets, refunds, suppliers, or customers appropriately. Assist customers during common travel disruptions. Participate in initiatives to improve travel services and processes.
Requirements: Completed secondary education or equivalent qualification. Technical or professional studies in Tourism, Hospitality, Travel Management, Business Administration, Aviation Services, or related fields are highly desirable. Prior experience in travel, tourism, reservations, hospitality, customer service, or administration is beneficial but not mandatory. Approximately 0–1 year of relevant experience is required. Recent graduates in tourism and hospitality are encouraged to apply. Strong organizational and administrative abilities. Excellent customer orientation. Attention to detail. Good oral and written communication skills. Comfort communicating via telephone and email. Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with Word, Outlook, or Microsoft 365\. Familiarity with travel reservation systems is a plus. Experience with Amadeus, Sabre, Travelport/Galileo, or other GDS platforms is advantageous but not required for an entry-level position. Basic knowledge of tourism and travel terminology is preferred. English proficiency is beneficial for international travel operations. Sound geographical knowledge is helpful. Ability to manage multiple reservations and deadlines simultaneously. Excellent follow-up and problem-solving skills. Ability to remain organized amid unexpected changes to travel plans. Willingness to learn new reservation and travel management platforms.
