**Join SDG’s gastronomic team!** We are looking for a **Restaurant Assistant** committed to administration and passionate about joining a dynamic, growing team at our SDG Cenco Florida restaurant.
**Job Mission**
Provide support in the restaurant’s daily operations, ensuring compliance with established procedures, service quality, and proper management of the work team during their shift. This role contributes to maintaining operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and appropriate use of restaurant resources.
**Responsibilities:**
* Ensure proper restaurant opening by verifying the condition of the premises, equipment, and supply inventory.
* Review and respond to the logbook, inspect the premises, and conduct the safe cash count. Confirm no customers remain inside and secure all access doors.
* Send relevant reports and information via email if required; then activate the alarm system and close the restaurant.
* Monitor inventory levels and manage daily and future orders based on needs, historical data, and sales plans.
* Receive raw material deliveries and verify their quality.
* Ensure compliance with operational procedures across all areas by conducting systematic rounds every 30 minutes to supervise operations and identify improvement opportunities. Interact with customers to detect service enhancement opportunities.
* Provide immediate feedback to the team, correcting deviations and recognizing positive performance.
* Assign and supervise cleaning tasks for the team, ensuring adherence to sanitary standards.
* Supervise hygiene and cleanliness across all areas, verifying that all zones and equipment have been properly cleaned.
* Conduct product testing and record results in the food safety logbook.
* Monitor staff attendance, ensure proper use of uniforms and equipment, and verify staff entry and exit during the shift.
* Conduct a brief handover meeting to review updates and assign responsibilities for the next shift. Manage cash handling, perform withdrawals, and manage change as requested.
* Additionally, conduct final cash drawer counts and safe reconciliation to ensure fund accuracy. Enter invoices and deposits into the system to ensure accurate financial recording.
* Prepare the cash report and review sales data, as well as conduct a final inspection of the restaurant before shift handover.

* Supervise compliance with safety and hygiene regulations, ensuring proper use of protective equipment and correct food handling.
* Identify and manage operational risks through inspections and implementation of preventive measures.
**Requirements**
* Completed secondary education.
* Minimum 1 year of experience in supervisory or leadership roles in restaurants, cafeterias, fast-food establishments, or related sectors.
* Basic knowledge of inventory control, cash handling, and customer service.
* Availability to work rotating shifts.
* Basic computer skills (email, Excel, and point-of-sale systems).
* Ability to lead teams, organize tasks, and resolve operational contingencies.
* Service orientation, teamwork, and adherence to procedures.
* Prior experience in opening and closing restaurant premises is desirable.
