Join Ecológica! We are currently searching for our next Operations Submanager, who will be part of the SSOMAC Submanagement team in the Metropolitan Region. The role’s mission is to lead and transform the organization’s operations, ensuring operational efficiency, cost control, safety, quality, and service continuity through process, fleet, maintenance, and personnel optimization—with a strong focus on results and national operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: * **Operational Management:** Lead daily transportation operations, ensuring optimal performance of assets and associated services. Includes route optimization, fleet utilization, shift and schedule organization, and productivity improvement—aiming for more trips per truck and fewer unproductive kilometers. Also entails defining and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service level, efficiency, costs, and safety. * **Maintenance and Asset Management:** Lead preventive and corrective maintenance of the fleet and equipment, enforcing discipline in asset control. Also includes participating in fleet renewal policy definition with the Procurement area, as well as monitoring equipment condition, failure history, insurance, and fixed assets. * **Cost Control and Efficiency:** Control operational costs—including kilometers traveled, fuel consumption, maintenance, and third-party services. Requires analyzing operating margins and proposing improvements, as well as participating in operational and commercial decisions impacting profitability. A key aspect is managing and optimizing third-party usage, which accounts for approximately 40% of operations. * **Safety, Quality, and HSEG:** Ensure operations are conducted safely and aligned with HSEG standards. Includes leading compliance with ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 standards from an operational perspective, integrating safety, health, environment, and quality management into operational objectives—in coordination with the respective department. * **Team Leadership:** Lead Operations and Maintenance supervisors and managers, restructuring the team as needed to achieve efficiency and control. Also involves developing high-performing teams with a strong emphasis on operational discipline and sustainable results. * **Transformation and Continuous Improvement:** Implement process and technological improvements—such as route optimization, fleet decentralization, use of sensors, GPS, and geofencing. Includes scaling SMART methodology adoption, leading implementation of COTs sensors, and preparing operations for future systems like Ecomond. Additionally seeks to replicate best practices across all regions of the country, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
