We are seeking an **Industrial Maintenance Engineer** responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing plant and equipment maintenance activities.
The selected candidate will collaborate with technicians, operators, production managers, suppliers, and safety specialists to ensure that machinery, electrical systems, and industrial infrastructure operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.
This role extends beyond reactive fault management. The Industrial Maintenance Engineer will analyze root causes of failures, develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and propose interventions aimed at reducing downtime, improving performance, and controlling operational costs.
The ideal candidate possesses solid technical expertise, experience with industrial plants, and the ability to coordinate complex activities while adhering to priorities, safety procedures, and operational deadlines.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Plan and coordinate preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities.
* Supervise the operation of machinery, electrical plants, mechanical systems, and industrial equipment.
* Analyze failures, anomalies, and operational interruptions to identify root causes.
* Define corrective actions and permanent solutions to enhance plant reliability.
* Prepare maintenance schedules, operational calendars, and technical procedures.
* Coordinate internal technicians, external maintenance contractors, installers, and specialized suppliers.
* Verify the quality of completed interventions and adherence to scheduled timelines.
* Monitor KPIs related to failures, availability, costs, and downtime.
* Reduce production interruptions through effective planning.
* Manage intervention requests, operational priorities, and technical emergencies.
* Supervise plant installations, expansions, and modifications.
* Evaluate supplier quotations, spare parts, materials, and technical proposals.
* Control the maintenance budget and identify cost-saving opportunities.
* Manage inventory of spare parts, tools, and technical materials.
* Update maintenance records, schematics, certifications, and plant documentation.
* Collaborate with production teams to schedule interventions without compromising operational continuity.
* Ensure compliance with occupational safety, risk prevention, and environmental protection regulations.
* Participate in inspections, audits, and technical verifications.
* Prepare emergency response plans and business continuity procedures.
* Analyze energy consumption and plant performance.
* Propose solutions to improve equipment efficiency, productivity, and service life.
* Support the implementation of automation and digital monitoring systems.
* Prepare periodic reports for management on costs, failures, interventions, and results.
* Train technicians and operators on proper equipment usage and safety procedures.
**Required Qualifications**
* Minimum 5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, plant engineering, or equivalent technical roles.
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical plants, and industrial automation systems.
* Experience in planning preventive and corrective maintenance.
* Ability to read technical drawings, electrical schematics, manuals, and floor plans.
* Experience in failure diagnosis and root cause analysis.
* Knowledge of motors, pumps, transmissions, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
* Familiarity with PLCs, sensors, and industrial control systems is preferred.
* Experience managing suppliers, contractors, and technical teams.
* Ability to coordinate simultaneous interventions, projects, and maintenance activities.
* Knowledge of CMMS software or equivalent maintenance management platforms.
* Experience managing spare parts and technical materials.
* Ability to analyze maintenance costs, performance, and KPIs.
* Knowledge of applicable occupational health and safety regulations.
* Experience preparing procedures, reports, and technical documentation.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and operational analysis tools.
* Willingness to respond to emergencies or technical criticalities.
* Relevant technical or professional certifications are considered an advantage.
