Proactively monitor operational parameters **Location:** Iquique, Tarapacá, Chile **Employment Type:** Regular full-time **Work Location:** On\-site About **Quebrada Blanca** Quebrada Blanca (QB) is located in the Tarapacá Region in northern Chile, at an altitude of 4\.400 meters, approximately 240 kilometers southeast of the city of Iquique and 1\.500 kilometers from Santiago. Teck holds an indirect 60% stake in the mine. Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd. and Sumitomo Corporation jointly hold an indirect 30% stake. **Position Description** ------------------------- **Closing Date: July 28, 2026** Reporting to the Port Services Supervisor, the **Port Services Operator III** will be responsible for preparing reports on consumption and industrial cleaning tasks performed, as well as service area work. Additionally, they will coordinate with supervisors from partner companies regarding material inventory control and construction progress. This position will be based at our Port site on a 7x7 day/night shift schedule. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Be a courageous safety leader, comply with and champion safety and environmental rules and procedures. * Prepare reports on reagent quantities and track consumption. * Actively collaborate with maintenance teams to coordinate planned shutdowns, providing key information on system and equipment status. * Record detailed operational data, generate reports, and conduct basic analysis to identify trends, deviations, or improvement opportunities. * Proactively monitor operational parameters, ensuring compliance with established standards and preventing disruptions. **Requirements** -------------- * Completed secondary education * Technical diploma at intermediate or advanced level in Metallurgy is desirable. * 3–5 years of experience in port and/or desalination plant operations * Knowledge of maintenance equipment and operational support equipment * Valid Class B driver’s license \#LI\-KG1 **About Teck** At Teck, we value diversity.
