Through internal selection processes, we seek to identify top candidates for promotion to other positions, aligning company requirements with employee motivations.* At ARAUCO, we are seeking individuals with a Technical Higher Education Degree (TNS) in industrial maintenance, industrial mechanics, automation and control, or a related field, plus at least five years of experience operating industrial equipment, to fill the position of Expert Operator \- Wood Business, at the Cholguan Wood Complex in the Yungay Zone. The purpose of this role is to act as a technical reference within the Complex in their specialty, supporting and contributing expert knowledge to various production equipment-related requirements—such as audits, maintenance, fault resolution, opportunity identification, and staff training—with the objective of ensuring operation within standard, reliable, and safe parameters, while actively contributing to continuous process improvement. **Key responsibilities include:** * Ensure correct operation of equipment under their specialty by verifying on-site compliance with established operational standards and checklists. * Monitor operating conditions, detect deviations, and manage timely correction or escalation. * Respond to production operational requirements, ensuring process continuity and stability. * Detect, report, and manage failures by generating breakdown notifications in SAP. * Provide technical guidance in failure resolution and in defining maintenance actions. * Ensure problem analysis using Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodology, guaranteeing standardization of corrective actions. * Conduct internal audits and participate in external audits, identifying operational and maintenance gaps. * Actively participate in process, procedure, SOP, and operational practice standardization. * Assess and level competencies of incumbent operators, supporting closure of operational gaps. * Plan and deliver training to operators, including initial training as well as temporary or permanent replacements. * Develop technical training materials and conduct practical activities both in classrooms and on-site. * Identify improvement opportunities in equipment, processes, and operations, promoting their implementation. * Advise on machinery modifications and improvements, contributing to process optimization. * Participate in formal management forums such as Performance Dialogues, maintenance meetings, operations meetings, and operational excellence initiatives. **Requirements:** * Education: TNS in industrial maintenance, industrial mechanics, automation and control, or a related field (mandatory) * Minimum 5 years of experience operating industrial equipment (mandatory) * SAP user-level proficiency. * Microsoft Office user-level proficiency. * Advanced knowledge of sawmill and/or remanufacturing equipment and processes. * Intermediate-level mechanical knowledge. * Availability to perform duties at the Cholguan Wood Complex At ARAUCO, we recognize each individual in their uniqueness and diversity.
