Finning, the strategic partner of CATERPILLAR and leader in equipment distribution and services, is seeking top talent to fill the role of **Minestar Implementation Technician B** for the El Teniente contract. **Job Description Summary:** The technician will be responsible for installation and implementation activities of technological components, commissioning, and necessary testing to ensure compliance with Safety, Quality, and Efficiency requirements for assigned tasks, adhering to internal and client regulations. Technologies will be installed on client Caterpillar equipment at Finning facilities and/or at client sites or facilities, on equipment specified by the client; support will be provided to assist with installation and startup of these components on CAT and/or third-party equipment. **Key Responsibilities:** * Install, calibrate, and commission Minestar technology on Caterpillar and non-Caterpillar equipment requiring operation in autonomous and/or conventional mining zones, organizing tasks before and after the implementation process. * Execute defined controls to deliver technological systems to the client, ensuring systems operate in accordance with manufacturer and client requirements. * Provide feedback on installation plans by proposing new ideas for continuous improvement in onboard software and hardware for autonomous trucks and equipment operating in AOZ and conventional mining sites. * Provide information for creating TSC tickets for Caterpillar and track issues arising during installation. * Execute controls outlined in procedures, fatality prevention standards, and instructions for AHS and conventional technology installation tasks. * Report status of various subsystems and relevant information. * Manage and participate in initiatives for continuous system improvement. **Requirements:** * Technical professional graduate from an Institute or University, specializing in automotive mechanics, electronics, or electricity. * Knowledge and experience in industrial implementation and maintenance of automation technological components. * Experience in the mining industry, mining equipment, and large-scale mining safety standards. * Willingness to work on a 7x7 shift schedule. * Medical fitness compatible with performance at high geographical altitude.
