**Your Role**
The Excavator Operator must safely and efficiently operate an excavator for mineral movement, truck loading, workface cleaning, and access maintenance, contributing to operational scheduling compliance and adherence to established safety and environmental standards.
Key responsibilities include:
* Operate excavator for mineral loading, overburden removal, and waste material handling.
* Carry out excavation, grading, and slope formation tasks according to supervisor instructions.
* Perform cleaning and clearing of loading faces, access routes, and work areas.
* Coordinate operations with haul trucks, front-end loaders, and other equipment.
* Conduct daily pre-operational inspections and check fuel, lubricant, and hydraulic system levels.
* Promptly detect and report mechanical anomalies, failures, or unsafe conditions.
* Comply with site-specific mining safety, internal traffic, and environmental procedures.
* Participate in safety talks, training sessions, and safety meetings.
* Maintain order and cleanliness of assigned equipment and work area.
**Requirements**
* Education: Completed secondary education (preferred).
* Experience: Minimum 3 years operating excavators in mining operations or large-scale construction projects.
* Additional training: Heavy machinery operator course or specific excavator certification.
* Driver's license: Valid professional Class D license, appropriate for the equipment to be operated.
* Residence: Exclusively in Copiapó (mandatory requirement).
* Availability: Willingness to work on a 7x7 shift schedule during daytime shifts.
