PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES ? Construct control lines and firebreaks using hand tools (Pulaski, McLeod, axes, shovels). ? Apply water, soil, or chemical retardants directly onto fire sources for extinguishment. ? Perform mop-up operations (ash removal, log cooling, and rekindling control). ? Assist in deploying high-pressure hose lines and support specialist chainsaw operators. ? Maintain firefighting tools, personal protective equipment, and brigade base infrastructure in optimal condition. REQUIREMENTS ? Be at least 18 years of age at the time of application. ? Be a Chilean national or foreign national holding a valid work visa/documentation. ? Have completed basic education (minimum 8th grade). ? Possess a medical health certificate compatible with the position, signed by a physician, explicitly stating the Body Mass Index (BMI) recommendation (19–28\). ? Provide a special-purpose criminal background certificate (no criminal records). ? Demonstrate high-demand psychological and physical fitness (both assessed during the selection process).
