Siemens Chile is looking for a **Service Engineer** to join our team. **What profile do we need?** * **Academic background:** Electrical or Electronic Engineer or related field. * **Professional experience:** * + At least **5 years of experience** in similar roles, demonstrating expertise in implementation and support of technological solutions. + A total of **8 years of work experience**, consolidating a relevant professional track record. * **Key technical knowledge:** * + **Expertise in Siemens Drive technologies:** This is essential. We require someone proficient in our frequency converters, drive systems, and their industrial applications. + **Automation knowledge:** Proven experience with control systems (PLCs, HMIs, SCADA), industrial networks, and integration of automation solutions. * **Languages:** * + **Intermediate English:** Essential for technical communication, reading manuals, and effective collaboration within our global environment. **What would you do in this Service Engineer role?** As a Service Engineer, you will be a key pillar of our team, performing a multifaceted role including: * **Execution and Management of Technical Tasks:** Carry out technical service tasks of varying scope and support planning and management of these tasks. * **Installation and Commissioning:** Lead and execute installation, configuration, and commissioning of Siemens Drive and automation solutions at our customers’ facilities. This includes a broad range of technical tasks such as installation/commissioning, maintenance, and evaluation of customer equipment and systems. * **Specialized Technical Support:** Provide high-level technical support, diagnosis, and resolution of complex issues on-site and remotely, ensuring system operational continuity. Determine task and action priorities and schedule corresponding measures. Offer remote and on-site customer support, as well as second- and third-level user support when issues arise. * **Preventive and Corrective Maintenance:** Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to optimize equipment performance and lifespan. * **Training and Advisory Services:** Deliver technical training to customers on the use and maintenance of our technologies, acting as an expert consultant. * **Optimization and Continuous Improvement:** Identify improvement opportunities in existing systems, proposing and implementing solutions that enhance our customers’ efficiency and productivity. Contribute to maintaining and improving internal tools, equipment, processes, and data repositories. * **Technical Documentation:** Prepare technical reports, work procedures, and relevant documentation for each intervention. * **Project Contribution:** Contribute to or execute activities for estimating, planning, and reviewing technical tasks in support of acquisition, negotiation, planning, and overall project management. * **Management and Compliance:** Adhere to relevant processes and regulations.
