Senior Linux Support Engineer | Financial Sector | Hybrid **AGTEC**, a company specializing in technology services and solutions, is looking for a **Senior Linux Support Engineer** to join a major client in the financial sector, participating in operational, support, and security initiatives for critical infrastructure platforms. We seek professionals with experience in managing production Linux environments, supporting critical infrastructure, and resolving incidents—capable of operating effectively in high-availability and continuous-operation environments. **Location:** Santiago, Chile **Work Mode:** Hybrid **Your Mission** ------------- Manage and ensure the stability of production Linux servers in a 7x24 banking environment, participating in advanced platform operations, incident resolution, monitoring, automation, and continuous improvement of operational processes. **✅ Key Responsibilities** ----------------------------------- * Administer and maintain Linux servers in production environments. * Analyze and resolve infrastructure and operating system incidents. * Monitor platform events and behavior using specialized tools. * Manage critical alerts and coordinate their resolution. * Perform performance troubleshooting on CPU, memory, storage, and processes. * Administer Linux OS services and system components. * Support root cause analysis (RCA) of incidents. * Automate operational tasks using scripting and automation tools. * Maintain up-to-date technical documentation. * Manage tickets and incidents under formal support processes. **Mandatory Requirements** -------------------------- ### **Operating Systems and Infrastructure** ✔ Intermediate or advanced Linux system administration. ✔ Knowledge of: * Process management * Permissions and users * Services and systemd * Basic networking * File systems * Disks and storage * Installation and updating of Linux servers ### **Support and Operations** ✔ Experience resolving incidents in production environments. ✔ Experience operating high-availability platforms and 7x24 environments. ✔ Log analysis and infrastructure troubleshooting. ### **Monitoring and Management** ✔ Experience with monitoring tools such as: * Splunk * ELK * Zabbix * Dynatrace * Equivalent tools ✔ Management of critical alerts and incidents. ### **Automation** ✔ Bash/Shell scripting development. ✔ Desired experience with Ansible. ### **Management Tools** ✔ Jira. ✔ Confluence. ✔ Formal incident and ticket management. **Education** ------------- * Computer Engineering. * Execution Engineering in Computing. * Network Engineering. * Technological Infrastructure Engineering. * Or related field. * **Required Experience** ✔ 1–3 years administering or supporting production Linux platforms. ✔ Experience in critical, continuously operating environments. ✔ Desired experience in banking, financial retail, or regulated industries. **Key Competencies** ---------------------- * Analytical ability and problem-solving skills. * Operational autonomy. * Effective communication during incidents. * Focus on operational continuity. * Proactivity and accountability. * Collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams. **Why Join AGTEC?** ---------------------------- * You will participate in high-criticality projects within the financial sector. * You will gain exposure to infrastructure, monitoring, and automation technologies. * You will be part of specialized teams focused on IT operations and security. * Long-term project with opportunities for professional growth. **If you have experience in Linux administration, monitoring, automation, and critical infrastructure support, we invite you to apply and become part of the AGTEC team.**
