Job Summary: We are seeking a proactive professional with experience in software testing to automate, design, and execute test cases, and ensure product quality. Key Responsibilities: 1. Create comprehensive and accurate documentation of work. 2. Automate test cases and develop test automation. 3. Collaborate on creating effective test cases and automation. **What You’ll Do?** * Create comprehensive and accurate documentation of all work, including status updates summarizing project highlights; validate that processes function correctly and comply with standards; organize your own work following established standards and processes. * Automate defined test cases and test suites per project and plan; develop test automation using automation frameworks. * Collaborate with peers, product owners, and test leads to understand product functionality and specifications in order to create effective test cases and test automation. * Define error prevention methods, testability strategies, and other advanced testing concepts; define test cases and create scripts based on evaluation and understanding of product specifications and test plans; create test automation plans; execute test cases to validate product functionality according to the test plan; record test results and defects with detailed steps to reproduce the issue in JIRA and Zephyr. * Identify defects resulting from test execution, assigning correct severity and priority; analyze discrete sets of information derived from functional and non-functional test execution; assist in integrating test automation into the CI environment. Performance or Resilience: Understand application and network architecture as inputs to create performance and resilience test strategies and plans for each product and platform. Conduct performance and resilience testing to ensure products meet SLAs or SLOs. * Ensure communications are thorough and accurate across all work documentation, including status updates; perform peer reviews of test automation created by other SDETs; monitor product development using JIRA statistics to measure product quality; review all acceptance criteria or requirements to ensure integrity and coverage. Work with team leads to track and determine prioritization of resolved defects. * **What Experience Do You Need?** * Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) field or equivalent experience. * 2–5 years of experience in software testing. * Ability to create automated tests based on functional and non-functional requirements. * Proactive individual who identifies or acts on high-priority items with minimal supervision. * Software build management tools such as Maven or Gradle. * Software testing tools such as Cucumber or Selenium. * Software testing, performance testing, as well as quality engineering techniques and strategies. * Testing technologies: JIRA, Confluence, Office products. * Cloud technology: GCP, AWS, or Azure. * Cloud certification is highly preferred.
