Coordinate and control national transportation operations About the Role Strategically manage logistics distribution processes, ensuring service continuity, efficiency, and reliability, thereby contributing to the company’s fulfillment of commercial commitments, optimization of logistics costs, and continuous improvement of internal and external customer experience, aligned with Sika Chile’s guidelines. * Coordinate, plan, and control national transportation operations, ensuring service continuity, on-time delivery, and adherence to committed service levels. * Design and optimize routes, loads, and dispatch schedules, promoting operational efficiency, cost reduction, and efficient utilization of available resources. * Monitor transportation operations, identifying deviations and promptly managing contingencies that may impact service or customer support. * Manage relationships with carriers and logistics providers, supervising their performance and ensuring compliance with contracts, service standards, safety requirements, and applicable regulations. * Participate in the selection, evaluation, and development of transportation providers, proposing and implementing improvement actions as appropriate. * Define, monitor, and analyze management indicators related to costs, productivity, on-time delivery, service levels, and operational incidents. * Generate analyses of operational data and information to facilitate decision-making and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives. * Prepare and present periodic management reports for the Logistics Sub-Management and other relevant departments. * Maintain ongoing coordination with departments such as Planning, Production, Sales, Customer Service, and Logistics, ensuring proper alignment between commercial demand and operational capacity. * Serve as the technical and operational reference for transportation matters across the company’s nationwide operations. * Ensure compliance with current cargo transportation legislation, as well as internal policies, procedures, and standards related to safety, occupational health, and environmental protection. * Promote a culture of road safety, self-care, and responsible operations among suppliers, carriers, and other stakeholders involved in the logistics chain. Your Skills and Experience * University degree in Civil Engineering – Transportation, Logistics Engineering, or a related field. * Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation, distribution, or logistics roles, preferably within industrial companies. * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office. * Experience with SAP, particularly modules related to logistics and transportation. * Proficiency in TMS (Transportation Management Systems). * Experience in analysis, monitoring, and control of logistics management indicators. * Knowledge of current regulations applicable to cargo transportation. * Knowledge of operational safety and transportation contract management.
