The Minera Doña Inés de Collahuasi project’s primary objective is to increase concentrator processing capacity—from an average capacity of 170 ktpd to 210 ktpd. Currently, the awarded scope covers execution of Package PG1—the first of three packages planned for this project—which involves detailed engineering and procurement (EP) of six flotation cells, along with field support during the construction phase. The PG1 package service commenced on August 1, 2023, continuing from the front-end loading (FEL3) study phase, and is scheduled for completion in February 2025. **Position Summary:** ----------------------- This role will be responsible for working with the project team to prepare schedule data to support project implementation. This includes applying established unit labor-hour and cost data, performing schedule integrations, developing work logic, identifying constraints and potential impacts, developing recovery plans, and reviewing and improving subcontractor schedules. It will be critical to ensuring projects remain on track and on schedule. **Key Responsibilities:** ---------------------------------- * Review scope criteria and design quantities. Conduct in-depth analysis to identify schedule impacts and coordinate with the project team to develop additional estimation bases when information is incomplete. * Review the Contractor’s Master Schedule to ensure alignment with client expectations. Identify schedule risks and recommend mitigation plans and actions to management. * Provide recommendations to the client regarding action plans to mitigate schedule risks and schedule gap analysis. * Support maintenance, improvement, integration, and major updates to Client Development and Execution of the Master Schedule. * Coordinate the scope of work across all entities within the plan. Perform scope reviews of project schedules, including establishing conceptual scope for schedule studies. * Establish milestones for the overall project or key project components. Review work activities to ensure milestone support. Coordinate timely, systematic, and comprehensive acquisition of scope definition and related data. * Examine work logic across organizations and units to ensure schedules support the project schedule. Plan, coordinate, and establish quantification levels based on project objectives and scope, and assign reference tasks to data sources or quantity reconciliation. * Plan, organize, and oversee resource loading and scheduling. Coordinate bulk product release and installation curves, integrating specialty labor requirements according to project objectives. Define personnel quantities and staffing levels to meet project needs and strategies. * Collect schedule information per discipline and specific constraints affecting the overall schedule. Coordinate across departments to clarify timing requirements, integrate all relevant activities, and identify potential challenges arising from limitations or cross-disciplinary interfaces. * Verify consistency with prior reports and issue required reports. Compile and update historical scheduling data. Monitor critical path and schedule performance. Prepare the Schedule Impact Report. Lead development and review of recovery plans, evaluating required resources and costs. **Requirements: Education and Experience:** ---------------------------------------- * Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in Project Controls with emphasis on planning and scheduling; or 13 years of professional experience in lieu of a degree. **Required Knowledge and Skills:** ------------------------------------------- * Experience performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions—including development, control, and analysis of schedules—in both field and headquarters settings. * Advanced experience with Primavera P6 is required. * Proficiency with PC operating systems and several basic software applications.
