Job Description
Mokara SpA is seeking an **Industrial Process Automation Specialist** to design, implement, maintain, and optimize automation solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, safety, and process continuity. The role will collaborate with engineering, production, maintenance, and technology teams to develop industrial control, automation, and integration solutions. Similar positions in Concepción typically require knowledge of PLCs, SCADA systems, control systems, fault diagnosis, and technological integration.
Main Responsibilities
* Analyze production processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimization.
* Design and implement industrial automation and control systems.
* Program, configure, and maintain PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
* Integrate sensors, actuators, frequency inverters, and other industrial devices.
* Configure and monitor industrial communication networks and protocols.
* Conduct testing, commissioning, and validation of automated systems.
* Diagnose and resolve faults in control systems and automated equipment.
* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
* Analyze operational data to detect deviations and improvement opportunities.
* Coordinate projects with engineering, maintenance, production, and IT teams.
* Prepare drawings, diagrams, procedures, and technical documentation.
* Supervise suppliers and contractors during installations and projects.
* Ensure compliance with technical standards and safety procedures.
* Monitor performance indicators and propose continuous improvement actions.
* Research new technologies related to automation, robotics, and Industry 4\.0\.
* Provide technical support and training to operators and maintenance personnel.
Requirements
* Professional degree in Automation Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
* 3\+ years of experience in industrial process automation and control.
* Experience with PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and industrial instrumentation.
* Knowledge of platforms such as Siemens, Allen\-Bradley, Schneider Electric, or equivalent.
* Familiarity with industrial networks and communication protocols.
* Ability to interpret electrical schematics and control diagrams.
* Experience in fault diagnosis, testing, and commissioning of systems.
* Knowledge of preventive and corrective maintenance.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
* Technical English is desirable.
* Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
