You will serve as the technical authority for engineering, analytics, and data science teams, establishing standards and guidelines that guarantee data integration, quality, security, and governance across the organization.
This is a high-impact role with cross-functional visibility: your architectural decisions will enable the company’s analytical and AI capabilities for years to come.
Responsibilities
* Design enterprise data architectures in cloud environments, ensuring scalable, resilient, and efficient solutions.
* Define data models and processing, storage, and consumption strategies (batch and streaming).
* Lead the adoption and evolution of technologies such as Azure, Databricks, and Microsoft Fabric.
* Establish DataOps guidelines and best practices: versioning, CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and observability.
* Define and implement the data governance framework: quality, lineage, catalog, security, and regulatory compliance.
* Serve as technical authority and internal consultant for tribes, cells, and engineering and analytics teams.
* Evaluate technologies and vendors, and participate in architectural decisions alongside department heads and managers.
* Document standards, reference patterns, and architectural decisions (ADRs).
Requirements
* Professional degree in Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field.
* Proven experience designing data architectures in cloud environments, preferably Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, ADLS, Event Hubs).
* Proficiency in Databricks (Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Spark) and familiarity with Microsoft Fabric.
* Strong expertise in data modeling: dimensional, Data Vault, relational, and Lakehouse/Medallion patterns.
* Experience with advanced SQL and Python or Scala.
* Knowledge of data governance, security, privacy, and applicable regulations (e.g., Law 21\.719 on personal data protection).
* Experience working in agile environments with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and multidisciplinary teams.
Desirable
* Azure certifications (DP\-203, AZ\-305) or Databricks Data Engineer/Architect certifications.
* Experience with Data Mesh architectures or federated data domains.
* Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep) and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
* Intermediate or advanced technical English.
Competencies
