Empathetic communication with pet owners in complex situations You will be the cornerstone of the clinic during the night shift, ensuring continuity of treatment for hospitalized patients and leading medical and surgical emergency care for cases arriving overnight. **Key Responsibilities:** * **Medical Consultations:** Conduct general medical consultations and follow-ups that arise during the night shift. * **Emergency Care:** Triage, stabilization, diagnosis, and treatment of critically ill patients arriving unexpectedly. * **Monitoring of Hospitalized Patients:** Supervise, assess, and administer appropriate therapies to patients admitted to the clinic. * **Communication with Pet Owners:** Deliver clear, empathetic, and professional medical updates to pet owners in highly complex or stressful situations. * **Teamwork:** Efficiently coordinate workflow with the night-shift veterinary technician/assistant.
