Reporting to the TMF Maintenance Superintendent, the **Senior Maintenance Engineer TMF** will be responsible for supervising shift supervisors and their performance; making decisions using the maintenance model; leading preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance strategies for key TMF equipment—including cyclones, pumps, valves, and ducts; monitoring KPIs such as availability and reliability; and leading technological improvement projects and resource optimization initiatives—ensuring operational continuity and achievement of production targets. This position will be based at the Quebrada Blanca site, located in the Tarapacá Region at 4\.400 meters above sea level, operating on a 7x7 shift system. **Key Responsibilities** --------------------------------- * Be a courageous safety leader, complying with and championing safety and environmental rules, regulations, critical controls, and procedures. * Lead and oversee maintenance execution activities, ensuring compliance with Teck standards and QA/QC requirements. * Lead and manage operationally the maintenance-related contractor agreements. * Design and supervise advanced preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance strategies to ensure the availability and reliability of critical operational equipment. * Monitor the performance of major equipment—including cyclone batteries, pumping systems, ducts, and auxiliary systems—identifying areas for improvement and repairable item processes. * Lead the implementation of advanced maintenance technologies, such as online monitoring, predictive analytics, and process automation. * Coordinate with operations and planning teams to ensure alignment between maintenance plans and production objectives. * Generate and analyze maintenance-related KPIs—including availability, costs, and mean time between failures—to support strategic decision-making, producing failure analyses or problem resolution reports (RDP) as applicable. * Train and develop the technical team in best practices and maintenance methodologies, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and safety. **Requirements** -------------- * Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering. * Minimum 6 years of experience in maintenance within mining plants or continuous-process industries. * Valid Class B driver’s license. * Advanced knowledge of maintenance techniques applied to mining equipment—including pumping systems, valves, duct systems, and cyclone batteries. * Proficiency in maintenance management tools such as SAP PM, Maximo, or similar systems for activity planning and control. * Experience with predictive diagnostic technologies—including vibration analysis, thermography, and ultrasonics—to prevent failures. * Project management experience in maintenance, applying methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma to optimize processes and resources. * Ability to analyze maintenance-related KPIs to propose improvements in efficiency and cost-effectiveness. * Intermediate technical English (preferred). **About Teck** At Teck, we value diversity.
