Position Summary: We are seeking a Construction Planning Engineer with experience in construction and installation projects for mineral processing plants, from engineering through to commissioning. Coordination of planning across various disciplines We are looking for a Construction Planning Engineer to join a major construction project located in the Coquimbo Region. We seek professionals with experience in construction planning and control—particularly for mineral processing plant construction and installation projects—who have participated in all project phases, from engineering, construction, to commissioning. Main Responsibilities: Develop and control the project master schedule in Primavera P6\. Integrate engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, installation, commissioning, and start-up schedules. Monitor, report, and control physical progress of the project. Control milestones, deadlines, critical path, and critical activities. Coordinate planning across disciplines: civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, instrumentation, and installation. Develop and control baseline schedules, S-curves, look\-ahead schedules, histograms, and recovery schedules. Identify deviations, constraints, and risks that may impact schedule adherence. Generate progress and control reports for Project Management. Actively participate on-site, verifying that planning and reported progress align with actual execution. Plan and control engineering, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up phases of the plant. Requirements: Professional degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, Industrial Civil Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5 years of experience in project planning and control. Proven experience in construction and installation projects for mining or industrial plants. Experience using Primavera P6\. Advanced Excel proficiency. Experience in progress monitoring, scheduling, critical path analysis, S-curves, look-ahead scheduling, and deviation analysis. Willingness to work on-site at a mining project/site. * Desirable: Participation in Greenfield projects from their initial stages. Experience in mineral processing plant construction. Experience in hydrometallurgical projects, SX\-EW, or other mining processes. Experience coordinating multiple contractors and engineering firms. Participation in projects spanning engineering and procurement, through construction and installation, to pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up.
