Position: Centralized Maintenance Engineer Santiago\-KCH Position Objective: To define, evaluate, and ensure the proper execution of tactics and activities outlined in Komatsu Chile’s Maintenance Strategy, with the aim of ensuring and optimizing the performance and operational continuity of our equipment. Functions and Responsibilities: Design Maintenance Strategies for New Equipment Identify and manage performance-risk hotspots through data analysis. Evaluate improvement opportunities based on local expert knowledge. Disseminate modifications to the Maintenance Strategy across the organization. Monitor the outcomes of Maintenance Strategy implementation. Calculate the technical and economic impact of potential changes to Komatsu Chile’s Maintenance Strategy. Generate availability, reliability, and cost-per-hour vectors (by time slot) in accordance with the current Maintenance Strategy. Conduct reliability studies to support data-driven decision-making. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Civil or Electrical Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, or Industrial Civil Engineering. Minimum 2 years of professional experience in roles related to reliability, planning, and/or maintenance of mining mobile equipment. Experience in continuous-process industries (e.g., forestry, fast-moving consumer goods) — desirable. Experience in Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA/FMECA). Knowledge of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM). Availability to work on a 5x2 schedule\. Proficiency in computer tools: MS Office and BI tools (Advanced level). Programming language for data analysis: PYTHON (desirable). Occupational health clearance for work at high geographic altitude.
