Key responsibilities include: * Identifying sectoral permits, their interaction with environmental requirements, and analyzing environmental variables. * Collecting evidence of compliance with environmental and sectoral requirements. * Validating guiding letters prepared by the team, which form part of sectoral permit files. * Conducting environmental-legal analyses of projects. * Proposing environmental and sectoral management strategies associated with Project Management Division projects. * Managing and overseeing area projects and initiatives. * Generating reporting for projects and/or sectoral permits. * Reviewing all projects submitted to SEIA and environmental assessment processes. * Analyzing and flagging boundary conditions (deviations) that hinder achievement of project objectives. **Qualifications:** Position Requirements: * Degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related field. * Minimum 8 years of experience in sectoral permitting. * Knowledge of conceptual, basic, or detailed engineering. * Understanding of both the environmental impact assessment process and environmental and sectoral regulations. * Must be available for fieldwork under a rotating shift system (4x3). * Given that work will occur in the field, physical fitness compatible with high-altitude geographic work is mandatory. * Valid driver’s license required. **About Stantec:** We’re active members of the communities we serve.
