Description
Job Summary:
TRANSVIP is seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer to manage IT infrastructure, optimize operational processes, and ensure platform stability.
Key Highlights:
1. Manages infrastructure and optimizes operational processes.
2. Ensures platform stability and availability.
3. Works with technologies such as GCP, Kubernetes, and GitLab CI.
At TRANSVIP — a recognized passenger and cargo transportation company with over 20 years of experience in fleet management, administration, reservation systems, traffic operations, and technology implementation across operational processes — we are currently seeking a Junior DevOps Engineer for our IT Management Department.
**Job Responsibilities**
* Build and operate microservice-specific dashboards in GCP Cloud Monitoring — including latency, error rate, availability, and resource utilization — configure automatic alerts for outages, pod restarts, and resource saturation, and maintain an overall platform health dashboard.
* Serve as the point of contact when a GitLab CI pipeline fails; diagnose broken stages, misconfigured variables, or caching issues; and support the development team during software delivery.
* Maintain environment stability; manage the lifecycle of release candidates; coordinate resets or restorations when environments become corrupted; and ensure QA can work without interruption.
* Perform rolling updates and rollbacks in GKE; keep YAML manifests and Helm charts for microservices up to date; and coordinate deployment windows.
* Document the current state; identify inconsistencies; propose and implement a standardized template with separate build, test, and deploy stages; and reduce integration time and delivery errors.
* Configure log-based alerts in Cloud Logging for high-impact operational events, such as payment flow failures, booking errors with no response, abnormal Socket.IO monolith restarts, and driver acceptance timeouts.
* Execute security measures defined by the DevSecOps Engineer within pipelines — including image scanning, secret management, and dependency validation — without making autonomous security decisions.
* Keep pipelines, deploy runbooks, rollback procedures, and troubleshooting guides up to date for the development team, reducing reliance on specific individuals.
**Job Requirements**
* At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Docker containers: building, running, and diagnosing images.
* Practical experience with GitLab CI or GitHub Actions: creating or modifying pipelines, stages, and variables.
* Operational experience with Kubernetes: kubectl, pods, deployments, logs, and describe.
* Basic usage of GCP or AWS: console, compute services, and logging.
**Mandatory Technical Competencies**
* Docker: image building, layer handling, and container diagnostics.
* Kubernetes: kubectl, deployments, services, configmaps, and secrets.
* GitLab CI: reading, modifying, and diagnosing .gitlab-ci.yml files.
* Basic Bash shell scripting.
* Understanding of HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, and fundamental networking.
