Transform large volumes of information into strategic assets We are looking for a Big Data Data Engineer (Spark & Scala) for high-impact projects! At Kibernum, we are seeking a Data Engineer passionate about data and technology who wants to participate in building robust, scalable, and real-time solutions. What will be your challenge? You will be part of a team that designs and implements highly available data architectures, transforming large volumes of information into strategic business assets. Your day-to-day responsibilities: • Design and build ETL/ELT pipelines in Big Data environments (Cloudera and Cloud) • Develop distributed processing with Spark and Scala (mandatory) • Optimize SQL queries and data models (Oracle and PostgreSQL) • Implement streaming solutions with Kafka • Automate processes using Unix/Shell and CI/CD tools • Participate in API/microservice design with a focus on scalability and security Mandatory Requirements: Professional degree (Engineering, minimum 8 semesters) +3 years of Big Data experience Solid experience with Spark and Scala Proficiency in SQL Experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL Desirable Qualifications (bonus points): • Big Data ecosystem: Hive, Impala, Kudu, Kafka • Experience with Cloudera and cloud environments • DevOps: Git, Maven, CI/CD, Unix/Linux • Development with Java, Python, or Spring Boot • Experience with microservices We Offer: Permanent Contract Hybrid work model (3 days remote / 2 days onsite) Location: Santiago Centro Working Hours: Monday–Thursday: 09:00–18:00 Friday: 09:00–17:00 . -Requirements- Minimum Education: High School Diploma (Humanities/Technical) or equivalent 3 years of experience Keywords: data, datos, engineer, engineers, ingeniero, ingeniera, ing, engineer
