Because the challenges you face reflect your ambitions! **To better tackle these challenges, you need:** Job Objective Ensure functional quality of developed solutions through the design, execution, and documentation of tests that validate correct software behavior against business requirements, minimizing risks before production release. Main Responsibilities Test Design and Planning Analyze functional and business requirements to define test strategy and scope. Design test cases, scenarios, and test plans based on user stories and technical specifications. Identify acceptance criteria and collaborate with Product/Business and Development teams in their definition. Test Execution Execute manual functional tests on developed features (Backend, Frontend, and Mobile). Validate integrations via APIs and REST services, ensuring proper communication between systems. Execute regression tests to ensure new implementations do not impact existing functionality. Incident Management Log, document, and track defects identified during testing. Prioritize incidents jointly with technical and business teams based on severity and impact. Validate defect fixes (re\-testing) prior to closure. Documentation and Traceability Document test plans, cases, and results in quality management tools. Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects. Generate coverage and quality status reports for project stakeholders. Collaboration and Continuous Improvement Collaborate cross-functionally with Backend, Frontend, Mobile, and Technical Lead teams. Participate in agile ceremonies (planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives), providing visibility into quality status. Propose improvements to quality assurance processes and testing standards definition. Specific Functions Develop and maintain functional test cases based on requirements and user stories. Execute functional, integration, and regression tests on the bank’s systems. Validate REST API consumption and integration using testing tools (e.g., Postman). Log and manage defects in bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps). Document test plans, traceability matrices, and test result reports. Execute SQL queries on relational databases to validate business data. Coordinate with Development and Technical Lead teams to prioritize and resolve identified defects. Requirements and Qualifications Requirements and Competencies **Technical:** Experience in designing and executing functional (manual) tests. Proficiency with test and defect management tools (e.g., Jira, Zephyr, Azure DevOps). Knowledge of REST API consumption/validation (e.g., Postman). Proficiency in writing SQL queries on relational databases. Familiarity with Banco de Chile’s technology stack (Backend, Frontend, Mobile, and Cloud architectures). **Desirable:** Knowledge of testing methodologies in banking/regulatory environments. **Soft Skills:** Strong analytical ability and attention to detail. Autonomy and proactivity in performing quality tasks. Excellent communication and collaborative skills with technical and business teams. Ability to adapt to agile methodologies.
