Because the challenges you face reflect your ambitions! **To better tackle these challenges, you need:** Position Objective Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts that enable efficient and repeatable validation of functional quality across solutions, reducing regression time and increasing test coverage within the development lifecycle. Main Responsibilities Test Automation Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing. Build and evolve reusable, scalable automation frameworks. Automate API and REST service validations used by the bank’s systems. CI/CD Integration Integrate automated test suites into the project’s CI/CD pipelines. Configure automatic test execution upon each deployment or code integration. Collaborate with the development team to ensure rapid feedback on software quality. Design and Maintenance of Automated Test Cases Prioritize, together with the Functional QA team, which test cases are suitable for automation. Keep automation scripts up to date against functional or architectural changes. Analyze automated execution results and identify false positives/negatives. Incident Management Log and document defects detected through automated test execution. Collaborate with Development and Functional QA teams to prioritize and validate fixes. Perform automated re\-testing after defect corrections. Collaboration and Continuous Improvement Collaborate cross-functionally with Functional QA, Backend, Frontend, Mobile, and Technical Leads. Participate in agile ceremonies (planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives), providing visibility into automation status. Propose improvements to frameworks, coverage, and the project’s automation strategy. Specific Functions Develop automation scripts for functional, integration, and regression testing. Build and maintain automation frameworks (e.g., based on Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or other tools in the project’s tech stack). Automate API and REST service testing (e.g., using Postman/Newman, RestAssured). Integrate automated test execution into CI/CD pipelines. Analyze and report automated execution results, including test coverage metrics. Execute SQL queries against relational databases to validate business data. Log and manage defects in bug-tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps). Requirements and Qualifications Requirements and Competencies **Technical:** Experience in functional and regression test automation. Proficiency with automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar). Experience automating REST API testing. Knowledge of integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. Proficiency in writing SQL queries against relational databases. Familiarity with Banco de Chile’s technology stack (Backend, Frontend, Mobile, and Cloud architectures). **Desirable:** knowledge of programming languages such as Java or JavaScript/TypeScript for script development. **Soft Skills:** Strong analytical ability and attention to detail. Autonomy and proactivity in executing technical tasks. Excellent communication and collaborative skills with both technical and business teams. Ability to adapt to agile methodologies.
